Not to be confused with macaroons, the delicate macaron has a rich and refined history… originating in the Renaissance, brought to Europe by Italians in the 1500s, and landing in France by 1582 where it quickly became a pâtisserie staple. Though it took a little longer to arrive on Australian shores (thanks to Adriano Zumbo and MasterChef in 2010), Fifi La Femme is proudly continuing the tradition with our own whimsical twist. Inspired by the seasons, local Hunter produce, and playful dessert trends, our macarons are handcrafted in Newcastle. They’re gluten free and add a splash of colour and joy to weddings, birthdays and sweet celebrations with our signature macaron towers and custom creations.
